The classic method for bigger runs
Screen printing pushes ink through a fine mesh screen onto the garment, one colour at a time. The ink sits on the fabric with a bold, slightly raised, almost painted finish that lasts.
Once the screens are made, every extra print is quick and cheap. That makes screen printing the best value for medium and large runs of the same design: event tees, merch drops, staff uniforms and promotional giveaways.
How we screen print
- Screens made in-house: each colour in your design gets its own screen, exposed with UV light.
- Quality plastisol inks for strong, opaque colour on light and dark garments.
- Gentle belt-dryer cure: the ink is cured on a belt dryer rather than a heat press, so most garments can be screen printed.
- Semi-automatic press for consistent results across the whole run.
Set-up costs
Screens are charged at £20 per screen, per colour. A two-colour design needs two screens. We store screens so that re-orders of the same design can use them again.
Because of the set-up, screen printing has a minimum of 20 pieces per design. For smaller quantities, or designs with lots of colours or gradients, DTF printing is usually better value.
Artwork
Screen printing needs vector artwork (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG) with each colour clearly separated. If you only have an image file, ask us about redrawing it.
Prices
Screen printing starts from 99p per print, plus screens. The price per print falls as the quantity goes up and rises with the number of colours and positions. Send us your design and quantity for an exact price.
