How sublimation works
Sublimation ink is printed onto transfer paper, then pressed onto the fabric at a very high heat. The heat turns the ink into a gas that bonds with the polyester fibres. The result is part of the fabric itself, so it won't crack, peel or fade, and it will outlast the garment.
Best for
- Football kits, team shirts and sportswear.
- All-over and edge-to-edge prints with full colour, gradients and photos.
- Lightweight, breathable prints, because there is no layer of ink on top of the fabric.
- Promotional items, such as mugs and mouse mats.
Polyester and light colours only
Sublimation only works on 100% polyester (or items with a polyester coating). It also only works on white or pastel garments, because there is no white ink. If you want a black garment, we can print the whole white fabric black as part of the design.
Our sublimation printer
Our 54-inch wide dye sublimation printer prints large polyester fabrics in full colour with a vibrant, sharp finish. The prints are weatherproof and can withstand hot washes.
Prices
Sublimation prints start from £2.99. Full kits and all-over prints are priced by garment and quantity. Send us your design or kit idea for an exact price.
